Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide to coordinate mobile mammo events and support the clinical team during biopsies. You will communicate with the community and partners, assist with procedures, and maintain supply levels and room readiness.

Strong organizational and computer skills, plus excellent communication, are essential for delivering high-quality patient care and efficient workflow within Imaging services.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with common software.
  • BLS certification from American Red Cross preferred or required.
  • Excellent communication with patients, families and clinicians.
  • Six months to one year of public-facing work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technologists during procedures and prepare work area.
  • Greet patients and guide them through the intake process.
  • Prepare rooms, stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness before/after procedures.
  • Provide telemetry support and report patient status changes to clinicians.

In this role you will communicate, coordinate with the community and business partners to assure successful mobile events. Knowledge and experience with excel and word along with excellent communication both verbally and via email are needed. Proficient organizational skills and efficiency with daily tasks.The Radiology Tech Aide duties include but are not limited to the following: provide support to clinicians in the preparation, performance and post procedural work of providing patient care. Ensuring rooms are appropriately stocked and cleaned pre and post procedure, setting up supplies for procedures, ensuring adequate supply volume, greeting patients and assisting patients.Responsibilities And Duties:100%Assist Technologists in performance of procedures:Greeting/Exiting Patients: In alignment with OhioHealth values:Exhibits excellent communication to both clinicians and patients by: greeting patients, providing appropriate explanation within appropriate scope and elevates patient questions/concerns where appropriate.Provides effective hand-off to clinicians.Supports patient care and throughput by providing: directional assistance and patient transportation as needed either by wheelchair or cart.Department/Room Preparation: Routinely assesses par level of supplies and stocks departments(s) to ensure adequate supply level in the department(s) at all times. Supports department cleanliness by ensuring linens are available and ensures each room is appropriately cleaned and prepared for patient care.Clinical Support: Provides telemetry support as needed.
