Job Description

The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting necessary repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the heavy equipment fleet. To be successful in this position, the Mobile Maintenance Mechanic should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow safety and work procedures.
• Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts.
• Repair damaged equipment parts.
• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Service machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.
• Perform major repairs when necessary.
• Consult with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Clean industrial equipment and work stations.
• Oversee and coordinate third-party repairs of heavy machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Hands-on work attitude, precise and detail-oriented; highly organized with good communication skills.
• Able to organize and maintain accuracy in administrative duties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Dependable and able to follow directions.
• Able to work flexible schedules and long hours.
• Maintain honesty and ethics at all times.
• Team player.
• Highly computer literate for maintaining machine control systems software and upgrades.
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, in loud environments.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
