Pay range: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour DEQ plus $8.00/billed hour commission.

The Mobile Maintenance Technician performs trailer preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, including trailer body damage repairs, on customer yards, drop yards, and distribution centers.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform PM inspections
• Grease trucks and trailers
• Perform tire services
• Electrical, brake, wheel end/seal evaluation and repair
• Minor repairs and trailer body work
• Complex welding of aluminum rails and other components
• Conduct CSA/DOT inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mobile maintenance vehicle and tools
• Sell tires and parts, ensuring profit margins
• Properly store parts and tools
• Complete work orders accurately with photos when needed
• Ensure customer satisfaction and safety compliance
• Stay current with LMS training and provide excellent customer service
• Report to work on schedule

Additional Duties

• Assist with other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of diesel tech experience
• Tire Service Certified by TIA
• DOT Medical Card
• Completion of Boss Truck Shops Tech I and II training
• OSHA Skills Demonstration
• Willingness to attend HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training; obtain ASE, DOT, TIA certifications

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver's license and insurability
• Skilled in welding
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights
• Reliable transportation and phone
• English communication skills
• Customer service orientation and teamwork

Physical Requirements

Must occasionally lift/move up to 75 lbs., and frequently stand, walk, handle tools, reach, talk, and hear; occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
