Job summary

ASARCO LLC seeks a Superintendent - Mobile Maintenance to lead maintenance of mobile mining equipment, including autonomous trucks. You will drive reliability, oversee budgets, and manage a team of supervisors, planners, technicians, and contractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role partners with operations, OEMs, and technology groups to optimize fleet performance, advance digital initiatives, and support site objectives in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance or supervision experience in mining.
• Strong knowledge of MSHA safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with autonomous haulage systems (AHS) and heavy equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for mobile equipment maintenance, including autonomous fleets.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies to improve reliability and uptime.
• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with MSHA, ISO standards, and AHS protocols.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, tooling, and parts supply for fleet maintenance.
• Collaborate with operations, OEMs, and technology teams to optimize fleet performance.
• Drive continuous improvement through RCA, digital analytics, and predictive maintenance.
• Communicate maintenance performance and risks to senior leadership.
