Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to support our Corcoran Fleet Services acquisition, performing preventive maintenance and light repairs at customer locations. Travel 100% to service multiple customers in the area and state, with a rotating Mon-Fri and Mon-Sat schedule, home daily.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, and engine systems, perform DOT inspections, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining tools and documenting work on RO forms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
• 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar capacity Technician role.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Travel to and perform work at customer locations, most work outside.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light/medium vehicles in the field.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication.
• Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to repair vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, and transmissions (gas).
• Inspect and document findings and parts used on Repair Orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with company policies.
