We are the leading provider of on‑site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, offering mobile on‑site fleet service for light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, as well as services from our 50+ nationwide service centers.

Job Summary

Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician – responsible for preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow‑up repairs, light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, licensed DOT inspections, and other duties at customer locations. The role includes traveling 100% of the time, working on vehicles such as F150, F250, F350, and specialty equipment, and operating on a rotating schedule of Mon‑Fri the first week and Mon‑Sat the second week (home every day). The position is flat rate with abundant work.

Duties
  • Always follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures.
  • Travel to and perform work at customer location, with most of the work performed outside.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light and medium vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, lifts, and jacks.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various systems (Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, engines (gas only), transmissions).
  • Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems including air conditioning, diesel steering, clutches, differentials.
  • Inspect, test, and use instruments like scanners and pressure gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Identify problems, determine accurate information, and generate alternatives.
  • Order and procure parts independently.
  • Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
  • Document work on Repair Orders, upload pictures, and record findings.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist with cleanup.
  • Apply knowledge from training or on‑the‑job experience.
  • Collaborate with support teams to assess customer needs and provide assistance.
  • Manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain high productivity and adhere to standard repair times.
  • Communicate with corporate support for approvals and purchase order numbers.
  • Participate in all required safety training.
  • Maintain assigned service vehicle and conduct pre/post trip inspections.
  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Set of hand tools required for duties.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent education/experience.
  • 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar technician role.
  • Participation in all required training.
