Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics to support the fast-growing North American HVAC business. You will work on light and heavy commercial systems with cutting-edge equipment, partnering with Journeymen and apprentices while prioritizing safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, replacement, and on-site troubleshooting, with opportunities for training through our STA program and potential career advancement within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators on pumps, fans, compressors.
• Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Perform service on light to heavy commercial HVACR equipment and coordinate with Journeymen and apprentices.
• Take ownership of quotes and support sales quotes for service work.
• Ensure safety compliance and accurate communication of issues, causes, and actions to customers.
