Job summary

JLL is seeking a Licensed HVAC Mobile Technician to maintain facility operations across client sites in the Kalispell area. You will operate, inspect, and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure energy efficiency.

Travel between sites and overtime are expected. Candidates must hold Montana HVAC Journeyman License, have 4+ years in building engineering, and be able to lift 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• Active Montana HVAC Journeyman License or higher with good standing.
• 4+ years of progressive technical experience in building engineering.
• Strong HVAC knowledge, codes, OSHA standards and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems across facilities in Kalispell area.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct facility inspections, document conditions and raise issues impacting operations.
• Maintain piping, valves, pumps, filters, and water/steam systems; plan maintenance schedules.
• Study equipment specs and manuals to stay current on safety and maintenance needs.
• Use Corrigo CMMS to document work and update status in real time.
• Travel between client sites daily; ensure safety and compliance in transit.
• Collaborate with teams and escalate complex issues to management as needed.

What this job involves:

As a Licensed HVAC Mobile Technician at JLL, you will play a critical role in maintaining optimal facility operations across multiple client sites in the Kalispell area. This mobile position requires you to operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to achieve the most efficient operating results and maximum equipment life expectancy. You will work independently, performing preventive maintenance and responsive repairs while ensuring all equipment operates in an energy-efficient and safe manner. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, cooling towers, and refrigeration units across assigned facilities in the Kalispell area.
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment longevity.
• Conduct scheduled facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting as-found conditions and reporting issues that may impact client occupancy and operations.
• Maintain and repair piping, valves, pumps, filters, and building water/steam systems; determine appropriate repair frequencies and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Study equipment specifications and operation manuals to remain current on proper usage, safety protocols, and maintenance requirements for all facility systems.
• Utilize CMMS systems (Corrigo) to document all work performed, update work order status in real time, and maintain accurate service records.
• Travel between multiple client sites in the Kalispell region, exercising defensive driving practices and maintaining compliance with all transportation safety standards.
• Collaborate with operations teams and elevate complex problems or urgent issues to management in a timely and professional manner.
• Comply with all safety procedures, complete hazard assessments as necessary, and maintain good housekeeping standards across all work areas.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Montana HVAC Journeyman License or higher (must be current and in good standing).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressive technical experience in building engineering with strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment repair and maintenance.
• Demonstrated expertise in HVAC system principles, best practices, and overall system design and applications.
• Working knowledge of Montana codes and regulations related to HVAC systems, components, OSHA standards, and local building codes.
• Valid and RealID compliant Montana driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel between multiple sites daily in the Kalispell area.
• Proficiency in the use of power and hand tools required for HVAC and building maintenance tasks.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders up to 30 feet while carrying tool bags, and perform frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work.
• Availability for mandatory overtime to support mobile technician responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an applicable technical training program or two years of trades school in HVAC, electrical systems, or related discipline.
• Documented apprenticeship in electrical systems and HVAC.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Montana Master HVAC License.
• Experience utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Corrigo or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
