Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Engineer to maintain and repair facility HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and related infrastructure across assigned buildings. The role requires 4+ years in electrician or HVAC fields, a clean driving record, PPE use, and strong client communication.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, plus two years of college or related trade schooling. Universal CFC certification is required; WFH not offered; on-site work with some call-in duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of college or related trade schooling preferred.
• Four years of electrician or HVAC/refrigeration experience or equivalent.
• Universal CFC recovery certification is required for HVAC techs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair work orders on facility electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain HVAC systems and related equipment, and monitor contractor work quality.
• Record readings, adjust operations, and ensure safe and compliant equipment performance.
• Use CMMS systems to update work orders and communicate with clients and managers.
• Participate in safety training and uphold safety procedures on site.

The Mobile Engineer has a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. To successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments, the Mobile Engineer is expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (e.g. Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, etc.) and be multi-skilled in others.

Areas of Responsibility

Maintenance

Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.

Maintain HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels (e.g., cleaning, inspecting, changing parts).

Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.

Monitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors.

Where necessary, record readings and adjust to ensure proper operation of equipment.

Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

Review monthly Client Service Request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.

Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Assist the Facility Management team with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions, inoperative critical equipment) and take appropriate actions.

Safety

Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary

Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

Must complete all required safety training as scheduled

Practice Defensive Driving at all times

Driving

Position requires a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.

Driving for long periods of time.

Administrative

Submit P-card Receipts Daily

Update work order status in real time

Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.

Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection

Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner

Attend work and safety meetings as required

All other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to perform all work using the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Serve as a client-facing representative of JLL by maintaining professional communication with customers, site personnel, and stakeholders while delivering technical HVAC services and supporting facility operations.

Strong Interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel

Education/Training

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Minimum of two years of college or related trade schooling

Minimum of four years' experience in the electrician trade or related field - or minimum of four-years' experience in the HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field

Other abilities

Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Certifications/licenses

HVAC technicians must have a Universal CFC recovery certification

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction

Physical work requirements and work conditions

Lifting up to 80 lbs.

Working from heights.

Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.

Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).

Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.

Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
