What this job involves
- Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operation and longevity. Maintains equipment in an energy-efficient, safe manner, minimizing downtime by anticipating repairs and keeping detailed records.
- Performs inspections and repairs on the interior and exterior areas of the property, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
What is your day-to-day?
- Performs ongoing preventive and corrective work orders on facility systems and equipment.
- Maintains, operates, and repairs HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, building interiors/exteriors, and grounds.
- Conducts inspections and reports on conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
- Responds effectively to emergencies.
- Prepares reports on work performed and recommends actions.
- Familiarizes with equipment and systems, including building automation and fire/life safety systems.
- Follows all safety procedures, maintains good housekeeping, and recognizes hazards.
- Ensures compliance with relevant ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Supports after-hours activities as needed.
- Attends training seminars.
- Performs other operational tasks typical of the Mobile Engineer role.
- Tools required for work will be provided.
Required
- Universal EPA 608 Certification.
- At least four years of technical experience in building engineering, especially HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Availability for on-call duties and overtime.
Preferred
- Knowledge of MEP/HVAC system design and application.
- Experience managing work orders with CMMS technology.
- Experience in a service role within commercial facilities.
