Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support our fast-growing North America HVAC business. You will work on light to commercial mechanical systems, perform maintenance, repairs, and installations, and help customers optimize their facilities with safe, efficient operation.

You’ll join a collaborative team, receive training through our STA, and have access to tools, a company vehicle, uniforms, and ongoing safety programs.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three years commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing).
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators.
• Ability to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot drivelines.
• Travel 10–20% to support branch activities.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

• Coordinate with local mechanics, Servicemen and apprentices.
• Attention to detail; communicate problem, cause and corrective actions.
• Ability to provide quotes to customers and participate in Service Plus Rewards.

• EPA refrigerants license, applicable state/local licensing, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Perform trouble shooting, installation and repair in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment.
• Work with teams to deliver high-quality service and solutions to customers.
• Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
