Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics for commercial service across North America. You will perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on light to heavy commercial systems and collaborate with Journeymen and apprentices.

We provide factory certification via our STA, safety-focused culture, company vehicle, tools, and uniforms. Travel up to 20% may be required to support branch customers.

Qualifications

• Membership or willingness to join United Association Journeymen & Apprentices of Plumbing & Pipe Fitting NA.
• Travel 10%–20% to support branch activities.
• 3+ years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience (rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, and plumbing).
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators; ability to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines.
• EPA refrigerants license; applicable state/local licensing; valid driver's license.
• Ability to write and communicate the problem, cause and corrective actions to customers.
• Ability to provide quotes to customers and participate in Service Plus Rewards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to customers during service and after sales.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVACR equipment and utilities.
• Coordinate with branch teams; travel as needed for on-site support.
