Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides compassionate in-home end-of-life care for pets, serving Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Royal Oak, Trenton, Taylor, and Clarkston in Michigan. Veterinarians practice on the road with on-going mentorship, balancing meaningful patient care with a supportive team environment.

We offer 5-day, 4-day, and 2–3 day self-managed schedules, with guaranteed base salaries and quarterly bonus opportunities. Prospective clinicians must have a DVM and be licensed to practice in the U.S.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with valid license.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Schedule flexibility including 2–5 days per week and self-managed options.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and 90 lb with assistance.
• Background check, license verification, and driving record review required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home veterinary hospice and end-of-life care.
• Perform in-home euthanasia with dignity and comfort for pets.
• Offer clear communication and support to families during a pet's final moments.
• Maintain a flexible travel schedule across service areas in Michigan.
