Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide end-of-life care in pets' homes across Joliet and surrounding Illinois communities. You will deliver hospice services and in-home euthanasia with time to listen to families and honor each pet's story.

Work is mobile with 2–5 day work weeks and self-managed scheduling. Heartstrings offers mentorship, guaranteed compensation with quarterly bonuses, plus comprehensive benefits and a no non-compete

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Weekend availability with flexible schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, a background check, and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care in pets' homes.
• Practice medicine independently on the road with mentorship and support.
• Maintain patient comfort and communicate with families throughout the process.
