Job summary

Confluence Academies is seeking a Homebound Teacher to provide homebound instruction to students identified as needing 5-20 hours of instruction. The role reports to the Director of Student Services & Family Involvement and requires delivering approved curriculum in a manner aligned with student needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree with a valid Missouri teaching certificate (DESE) preferred, and be able to supervise and travel between locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches network approved curriculum.
• Meets and instructs assigned students in the locations and at the times agreed to with parents/guardians
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
• Provides an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and – in harmony with the goals – establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to student
• Is available to students and parents for education related purposes as warranted
• Supervisory responsibilities: Supervises students while in their care
