Job summary

Confluence Academy in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a part-time Homebound Teacher to provide 5-20 hours of instruction to students identified for homebound services. The role requires planning individualized lessons, delivering curriculum, and coordinating with parents and the Director of Student Services & Family Involvement to ensure educational progress.

A bachelor's degree and teaching certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to transport between school buildings, meeting locations, and cities.

Responsibilities

• Teaches network approved curriculum.
• Meets and instructs assigned students in the locations and at the times agreed to with parents/guardians
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and communicates these objectives to students
• Provides an environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students
• Supervises students while in their care
