Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; military or civilian mechanic training preferred.
• Extensive travel required to support operational and programmatic needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other databases for tracking.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-level maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on USMC ground equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs per manuals and military standards.
• Replace and adjust major systems and components such as transmissions, engines, braking systems, and drivetrains.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with supply and logistics teams to coordinate parts and equipment deliveries.
• Travel extensively as part of a mobile maintenance team to various field locations and military installations.
