Job summary

EquipmentShare in Billings, MT is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of equipment and aerial lifts. You’ll use tech to manage work orders, track service intervals, and diagnose issues with real-time data from many makes and models.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, the ability to read schematics, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety. It offers on-site work with overtime potential and paid training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade certificate required.
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment and aerial lifts at customer sites and the rental fleet.
• Create and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and order parts.
• Diagnose issues quickly using data from multiple makes and models.
• Document work orders daily and maintain paperwork accurately.
• Travel to customer job sites for on-site service when required.
