Job summary

Dobbs Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, overhaul and recondition heavy equipment and components for customers and the dealership. The technician may work additional hours for emergency calls or routine service as required.

The role requires reading schematics, following Technical Manual procedures, and maintaining accurate time and parts records. Training travel is expected; a valid driver’s license and an associate degree or equivalent are

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• Read job orders and observe equipment to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Install fuel injection components, replace transmissions and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain records for time, parts, and work orders.
• Represent the dealership as a professional Service Technician at all times.
• Overnight travel up to 5% for training.
• Work up to 12-hour days as needed.
