PALFINGER North America in Rochester, NY is seeking a Mobile Heavy Equipment Diagnostics Technician to diagnose and repair articulated cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers. The role includes quarterly PMs and DOT inspections, plus on‑call repairs, with a focus on safe, compliant service and detailed recordkeeping.

You bring strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and a CDL (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair cranes, forklifts, conveyors, trucks and trailers.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and DOT inspections is a plus.
• Experience maintaining accurate service records and parts/labor documentation.

You’ll report to the Regional Field Service Manager and be the onsite expert customers count on.Your impactPicture this: a truck‑mounted articulating crane is down at a busy job site. You arrive, quickly trace an electrical fault, confirm a hydraulic pressure issue, and return the unit to service. Next, you complete scheduled preventive maintenance and an Annual DOT inspection across a small fleet—closing out clear, complete documentation before you roll to the next call.
