Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive in Houston, TX is seeking a Heavy-Duty Technician to maintain and repair a variety of trucks and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. You will read diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.

This role offers production‑based pay with a rate of $26.73–$40.10 per flag hour and includes safety gear, uniforms, and ongoing training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Read diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, off-road equipment, and cranes (light crane work).
• Repair electrical and mechanical components.
• Maintain and upgrade knowledge through training and workshops.
• Carry out preventative maintenance for mobile equipment.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements.
