Job summary

ADCOCK BROTHERS SERVICE CENTER INC is seeking aHeavy Duty Diesel Technician / Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks at client sites. The role involves operating a company-provided mobile service truck, performing field diagnostics and on-site repairs with a high degree of independence.

Required are 3+ years of hands-on HD diesel experience, a valid CDL (hazmat/tanker preferred), and proficiency with diagnostic tools like Cummins INSITE, Detroit Diesel

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Service Technician.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred) with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements when available.
• Strong proficiency with computerized diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins INSITE, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, CAT ET).
• Must possess a complete set of hand and pneumatic tools for heavy-duty repair.
• Ability to work independently in varying weather conditions and roadside environments.
• ASE Certifications and Factory/OEM training are a plus.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Field Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose and repair heavy-duty equipment and trucks at client sites or on the road.
• Preventative Maintenance: Oil changes, lubrication, filters, and DOT inspections.
• Complex Troubleshooting: Engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Documentation: Update electronic work orders with repairs and parts used.
• Service Truck Maintenance: Keep the mobile service truck stocked and ready.
