Job summary

NEPW Logistics Inc. is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to maintain and repair forklift trucks across our facilities. The role requires inspecting fleets, identifying repairs, and performing maintenance on electric, gas, and propane units.

Travel to different locations in Maine is required as needed. A valid driver's license, mechanical repair skills, and the ability to read repair manuals are essential, with training provided for less-experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate lift trucks.
• Own basic tool set.
• Willing to travel to Maine as needed.
• Able to read repair manuals for forklift trucks.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Technical degree or previous experience preferred.
• Will train if some experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift truck fleet to ensure trucks are working properly and safely.
• Identify forklift trucks that need repairs.
• Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks including electric, gas-powered, and propane powered.
• Test forklifts to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance for forklift trucks.
• Ensure batteries for electric forklift trucks are fully charged.
• Replace empty propane tanks on propane-powered forklift trucks.
• Maintain repair log for forklift truck fleet.
• All other duties as assigned.
