Job summary

AnaVation in the United States seeks a Software Developer specializing in mobile device forensic analysis and reverse engineering to join a high-performing team. You will design, develop, test, and integrate software features as part of a geographically dispersed group.

Requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; hybrid work with up to two days on-site at our customer in Lorton, VA. Occasional on-site workshops may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Six+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Python, C, C++ and related languages.
• Experience with mobile app development or mobile systems, iOS preferred.
• Strong understanding of Git and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite).
• Experience with reverse engineering and decompiling mobile apps.
• Familiarity with Agile development and collaboration in distributed teams.
• Ability to read and analyze binary data and detailed developer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate software features as a member of a dispersed team.
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure data models capture use cases.
• Interface with developers to address complex technical challenges and ensure reliable, scalable solutions.
• Conduct unit testing and follow best practices for quality code.
• Work on software research and development focusing on mobile device forensic analysis.
