Job summary

Fleet Mobile Maintenance in Seattle is seeking skilled technicians to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers. You will perform mobile road calls or in-yard repairs, write detailed work orders, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified experience in commercial tractor and trailer repair.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers’ commercial tractors and trailers.
• Write detailed work orders - perform mobile road calls and/or in-yard work.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
• Maintain hubs and axles and replace or adjust as needed.
• Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
• Check and repair brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet DOT road safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, documenting repairs and reporting findings to management.
• Respond promptly to client queries.

Skills

Commercial vehicle repair experience

Valid driver’s license

Physical ability to lift 100+ lbs

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
