Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers' Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  1. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers' Commercial Tractors and Trailers
  2. Write detailed work orders - working Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard
  3. Provide quality customer service
  4. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
  5. Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
  6. Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
  7. Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires
  8. Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  9. Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
  10. Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
  11. Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management
  12. Respond as soon as possible to client queries

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

  1. 5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair experience
  2. Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  3. Ability to lift 100+ pounds
  4. Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing
  5. Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
  6. Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:

  1. Experience with welding, certification a plus
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus
  3. Class A CDL
  4. Your own tools
