Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of commercial automotive repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of trailer maintenance is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting company requirements.
• ASE Service Manager and/or TIA Commercial 200 certifications preferred.
• Ongoing training per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, and repair light, medium, heavy duty vehicles including pickups, Class 3-8 trucks, buses, RVs and trailers.
• Communicate with management/service writers to verify information and repair times.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine cost-effective fixes.
• Travel to locations of disabled equipment to diagnose and repair problems as needed; may perform after-hours on a rotating basis.
• Consult with other mechanics to discuss procedures and solutions.
• Operate equipment after repairs to ensure satisfactory completion.
