Amerit Fleet Solutions in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Mobile Fleet Technician/Mechanic to service light to medium fleet vehicles across the Birmingham area. This role involves regular travel within the region and a Monday–Friday evening schedule, with pay weekly and benefits eligibility.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, complete work orders, and maintain tools in a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on automotive maintenance and repairs experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of meeting physical demands described.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug test and DOT (if required).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles and other equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to support fleet operations.
