Force Electrical Services in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to service heavy- and medium-duty trucks, aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and related equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while working from a mobile service truck and the company shop.

The role supports field crews, ensures DOT/OSHA/ANSI compliance, and responds to outages or storm restoration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; diesel/heavy equipment technology certificate or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience repairing heavy- and medium-duty diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with utility fleet equipment (aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, stringing equipment) strongly preferred.
• Experience in diesel, hydraulic, and chassis systems; familiarity with Altec and Terex bucket trucks preferred.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, hoses, PTO units.
• Repair electrical systems, wiring, and control systems on equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per OEM and company PM intervals.
• Travel to job sites and support emergency storm restoration when needed.
• Document work orders, parts usage, and inspections in fleet system.
