Job summary

Power Trip Rentals is seeking a dependable, hands-on Truck / Shop Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. Work will take place in our shop and occasionally in the field.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in truck or heavy equipment maintenance, a strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in truck or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must provide your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on company trucks and equipment.
• Conduct 90-day and annual DOT inspections.
• Use company-provided laptop and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and service medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Replace, repair, and install mechanical components, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ensure all company trucks and equipment are maintained to meet safety and cosmetic standards.
• Clean and detail vehicles; apply and maintain decals.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
• Track and maintain inventory of tools and shop supplies.
• Read and interpret manuals, work orders, and schematics.
• Document all services and repairs through service work orders.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
