Job summary

ACME is seeking a Mobile Fleet Mechanic in Tampa, FL to maintain and repair company vehicles and equipment. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and major repairs while ensuring safety standards and compliance for daily operations.

The ideal candidate has diesel/gas engine experience, electrical diagnostics, and strong troubleshooting skills. ASE certification preferred but not required; CDL class A is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical diagnostics experience and be able to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• 1-3 years of mechanic experience on diesel and gas engines for on-highway vehicles.
• Light/Medium/Heavy duty vehicle and trailer repair experience required.
• ASE certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Class A CDL preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle/equipment by performing inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Repair and overhaul major assemblies and components to ensure safe operation.
• Keep detailed service records and verify vehicle performance with test drives.
• Travel to different branch locations as needed with company truck.
