Job summary

ACME is hiring a Mobile Fleet Mechanic in Tampa, FL. You will maintain and repair construction vehicles and equipment, perform inspections, and keep service records to support daily operations.

The role requires diagnosing electrical/drivability issues, performing preventative maintenance, and applying safety standards. Travel to branches and occasional overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel to different branch locations as needed with company truck.
• AES Certified preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have electrical and drivability diagnostic experience - Required.
• 1-3 years of Mechanic experience with Diesel and Gas engines for on-highway vehicles.
• Light/Medium/Heavy Duty Vehicle & Trailer repair experience - Required.
• Off-Highway equipment experience (front-end loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts).
• Experience performing Annual Federal DOT Inspections.
• Class A CDL preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle/equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Correct vehicle/equipment deficiencies; perform repairs and adjustments.
• Keep records of services and repairs.
• Verifies performance by test drives and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Keep shop organized; manage parts inventory and supplies.
