Job summary

Model 1 Commercial Vehicles, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site repairs, maintenance and installations for our vehicle solutions in the San Francisco area.

The role requires diagnosing errors, using computerized diagnostics equipment, and completing tasks to a high standard within a defined territory. Minimum four years in automotive service with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Provide service and customer support during on-site visits.
• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles using computerized diagnostics equipment.
• Perform inspections and repairs following established procedures.
• Operate safely and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and customer support during on-site visits.
• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles utilizing computerized diagnostics equipment.
• Perform inspections and repairs using established procedures.
• Perform light and medium duty repairs in heating/cooling, electrical/electronic systems, brakes, drivetrain, suspension, steering, transmissions, engines.
• Prepare and submit work orders in a timely manner to assigned location.
• Evaluate products for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes.
• Collaborate with management to resolve technical issues.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or services.
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance within territory and train customers when required.
• Provide training to customers on product usage and maintenance.
• Respond to customer complaints timely and effectively.
• Maintain eighty five percent efficiency and operate all shop equipment safely.
