Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active RN and APRN license in Texas with prescriptive authority and FNP certification.
• One year directly related experience as a family nurse practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Perform history, physical exams and diagnose primary care conditions; develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with an interprofessional team and consult physicians as needed.
• Order tests, provide immunizations, and educate patients and families.
• Precept nursing students each semester and participate in quality improvement.
