Job summary

CBRE in the United States is seeking a Mobile Facilities Technician to maintain critical mechanical and electrical systems across multiple locations on a first shift, Monday–Friday. This role offers autonomy to diagnose and repair issues in a premier corporate environment.

Travel between assigned sites is required as you perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and system optimizations. A strong technician will ensure safety, comfort, and compliant operations while supporting energy

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Assist with installation and modification of equipment and systems.
  • Review work orders and estimate time and materials; track completion.
  • Support energy management to keep systems efficient.
  • Inspect new and existing installations for code and safety compliance.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.

About the Role

Join our team as a Mobile Facilities Technician where you will serve as the backbone of facility operations for a premier financial client. In this Monday through Friday, first-shift role, you will take ownership of maintaining mission-critical mechanical and electrical systems across multiple locations. You will ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient building performance that supports the daily operations of a high-profile corporate environment.

As you travel between assigned sites, you will leverage your technical expertise to perform proactive performance testing, routine preventive maintenance, and expert corrective repairs. This position offers the autonomy to solve complex diagnostic challenges independently, allowing you to make a tangible difference in the comfort and safety of staff and visitors. What You’ll Do:
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Mobile Facilities Technician position is $31.25 per hour and the maximum salary for the Mobile Facilities Technician position is $36.05 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
