Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to service institutional facilities in the Chicago area. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, respond to work orders via CMMS, and travel between multiple sites to keep buildings safe and functional.

This on-site role requires strong problem-solving, independence, and willingness for after-hours emergency response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade certifications as required by client scope or local jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic HVAC.
• Experience with CMMS and basic tablet/mobile device applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs including leak resolution and fixture maintenance.
• Conduct electrical repairs such as switches/outlets replacement and lighting maintenance.
• Complete carpentry tasks like door adjustments and hardware installation.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues including thermostat adjustments and filter changes.
• Process work orders via CMMS and meet service level agreements.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate preventive maintenance with contractors.
• Plan routes across multiple facilities to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain company vehicles in safe, clean condition and travel as needed.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and ensure safe building access.
• Document activities, materials, and tool usage; maintain safety standards.
