Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support occupational health, pre-employment screenings, and patient clinical care.

The role blends exercise science with medical assisting and corporate wellness outreach, including on-site testing and mobile clinic work. Responsibilities include pre-placement testing, rooming patients, EKG/PFT screening, and assisting providers with orthopedic fittings, with travel to local industrial sites for safety and injury prevention

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required or to be obtained after hire.
• 0–3 years of experience in occupational medicine or related clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Administers pre-work physical testing and screenings (PFT, RFT, EKG stress tests, drug screening).
• Rooms patients, records vital signs, and documents data in EMR.
• Fits patients with orthopedic devices and assists providers.
• Conducts site visits for ergonomic assessments and workplace education.
• Operates mobile clinic for on-site physicals and health screenings.
• Monitors responses during stress testing and follows ACLS protocols for emergencies.
• Ensures OSHA/DOT compliance and accurate documentation.
• Performs other clinic duties as assigned.
