Job summary

Peterson Machinery Co. is seeking a Rental Field Technician based in Medford, OR to service and repair a range of rental construction equipment at customer sites. You will travel to sites, perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and rental-ready.

A strong emphasis on customer service and safety is essential. The role requires an associates degree in Diesel Technology or related field and at least 3 years of directly related experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field and a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience driving a service truck highly preferred.
• Previous mechanical service experience in heavy equipment, construction, and related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel safely to and from customer sites to maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of light and heavy rental equipment and tools to ensure they are Rental Ready and safe to operate.
• Perform pickup and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and Cresco locations for purchase and/or repair.
• Maintain field truck parts inventory to ensure efficiency of field services.
• Conduct damage assessments, complete reports of equipment damage, and record hours used, mileage, and fuel levels.
• Perform safety and compliance inspections of equipment and company vehicles per manufacturer, company, ANSI, OSHA, or other regulation standards.
• Perform timely equipment check-ins/outs.
• Load and unload equipment and attachments.
• Coordinate parts needs, complete parts orders, and assist with maintaining parts inventory.
