Job summary

Peterson Machinery Co. in Salem, OR is seeking a Field Technician to service and repair heavy equipment at customer sites and on rental fleets. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform engine and hydraulic repairs, and document all work performed.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Diesel Technology, 6+ years of field repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to sites while maintaining safety and quality standards. CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field is preferred.
• 6+ years of directly related heavy equipment repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform service activities at customer sites and for rental fleet equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and related systems.
• Write accurate service reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety procedures.
