STERIS is seeking a proactive Equipment Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair medical equipment in hospital settings. This remote-based, customer-facing role focuses on territory coverage within California, requiring independent work with team support as needed.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years in mechanical/technical roles, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of work experience, with 2+ years in a mechanical/technical role.
• Associates degree or related certifications can be considered towards technical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background/credentialing requirements.
• Customer and team engagement experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Windows, email, navigation, data input).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Complete PMs, service calls, and warranty calls.
• Assist with installations and field upgrade programs.
• Collaborate with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management to resolve issues.
