Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician to provide high-quality repair service on equipment and respond to customer needs promptly. The role involves removing and installing parts, testing assemblies, and diagnosing system errors while adhering to safety policies.

The technician will use hand tools, air tools, laptops, and diagnostic software, with responsibility for documenting work orders and following installation instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of engines, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 years related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate field vehicle and may require certifications.

Responsibilities

• Remove/install parts and disassemble/assemble components, and test assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and laptops.
• Understand manuals, schematics, parts books and installation instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of engine and compressor systems.
• Troubleshoot systems for errors.
• Complete jobs to meet flat rate times and quotas, and record work orders accurately.
• Follow safety policies and contamination control rules.
• Complete related paperwork (work orders, parts orders, safety docs) accurately and timely.
• Travel as required; perform duties safely and professionally.
