Amrize North America Inc. in Louisiana is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator II (Loader Operator) to transport materials across the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers as production requires. The role emphasizes safe operation and timely material handling.

The ideal candidate will operate front-end loaders and related heavy equipment, inspect gear each shift, report issues, and cooperate with the team to maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in varying weather elements; quarry experience preferred.
• Able to operate/maintain/heavy equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Shift work, overtime, weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate front end loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Move materials within the quarry to piles, trucks or crushers.
• Inspect equipment each shift and document issues.
• Report malfunctions and safety hazards to quarry supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and accurate material counts.
• Communicate safety, maintenance and production needs to team.
• Collaborate with others to learn plant flow and operations.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Mobile Equipment Operator II (Loader Operator) position is a key positon transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Primary operations of front end loaders (993s, 992s, 988s, 980s, etc.), dozers, backhoes, grader,excavators and skid steer loaders.


• Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders


• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.


• Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report toquarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.


• Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.


• Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.


• Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustment to materialblends as required


• Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs.


• Other responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Ability to read and write

Additional Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED

Required Work Experience: Experience working in varying weather elements. Quarry experiencepreferred.

• Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment


• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions


• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic


• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.


• Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening.


• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors withother duties as required.


• Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred.


• This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holidaywork. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice.


• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (\"PPE\"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
