Job summary

Amrize seeks a Mobile Equipment Operator to move materials within the quarry, operating haul trucks and other heavy machinery. You will inspect, report issues, and maintain safe production flows on site.

Ideal candidates have quarry experience, can work in varied weather, and demonstrate a solid work ethic. On-site role with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks, water trucks, rock breakers, and fuel truck.
• Operate other equipment as required (front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, skid steers).
• Inspect equipment per shift and report issues.
• Correct malfunctions or safety hazards or report to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and promote safe working conditions.
• Take accurate material counts and adjust blends as needed.
• Maintain communication with quality personnel for production needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Mobile Equipment Operator position is a key positon transporting materials throughout the quarry intopiles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Primary operations of haul trucks; water trucks, rock breakersand fuel truck.
• Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
• Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report toquarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.
• Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
• Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustment to materialblends as required
• Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Ability to read and write
Additional Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED
Required Work Experience: Experience working in varying weather elements. Quarry experiencepreferred

Additional Requirements

• Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with
• Other duties as required.
• Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred.
• This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
