Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to travel to patient homes and perform echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients using portable ultrasound equipment.

You will ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and obtain consent in addition to adhering to protocol-specific imaging guidelines. The role requires RDCS/ RCS credentials, AE certification, 3+ years of experience, BLS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• RDCS from ARDMS or RCS from CCI is required.
• AE certification in Adult Echo is required; PE is a plus.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in both adult and pediatric patients.
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a PC and reliable internet; must be tech-savvy.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional field settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
