Job summary

Garden Springs Healthcare is seeking a Mobile Director of Nursing (RN) to provide executive nursing leadership across our network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Ohio.

The role involves serving as acting DON at facilities during transitions, ensuring outstanding resident care and continuity of service. A valid OH RN license, 5+ years of leadership, and 2+ years as DON are required, with willingness to travel throughout Ohio.

Mobile Director of Nursing (RN) - Lead Exceptional Care Across Ohio

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Director of Nursing (RN) to provide executive nursing leadership across our growing network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers throughout Ohio. As our Mobile DON, you will serve as the acting Director of Nursing at facilities during leadership transitions, vacancies, leaves of absence, or other operational needs, ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes and continuity of resident care.

Responsibilities:

• Providing day-to-day leadership of the Nursing Department
• Ensuring compliance with CMS, Ohio Department of Health, and company standards
• Maintaining survey readiness and leading facilities through state and federal surveys
• Overseing staffing, scheduling, and labor management
• Leading Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Mentoring and developing nurse managers, supervisors, and clinical staff
• Monitoring clinical outcomes and implementing performance improvement strategies
• Collaborating with facility administrators, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and transition of newly hired Directors of Nursing
• Identifying operational opportunities and implementing corrective action plans
• Ensuring outstanding resident care and customer service throughout each assignment

Requirements:

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
• At least 2 years as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility
• Extensive knowledge of CMS Regulations, Ohio Department of Health requirements, QAPI, Infection Prevention, and Long-Term Care Survey Process
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
• Ability to quickly assess operations and lead teams through change

Travel Requirements:

• Be willing to travel throughout Ohio
• Stay overnight when business needs require
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Be available for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support
• Travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
