Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment in a mobile environment.
• Support trailer repair and maintenance, including structural and component repairs as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections, including DOT inspections as applicable.
• Diagnose and repair systems: diesel engine, brake/wheel, electrical/lighting, suspension/steering, trailer components, liftgates/hydraulics, HVAC.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication for trailer repairs as needed.
• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours on a hard card.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and recommendations.
• Maintain organization and inventory of mobile service truck, tools, and parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and PPE usage.
• Respond to service calls promptly and manage workload independently.
• Represent the Company professionally at customer locations.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Overview

The Mobile Diesel Technician is responsible for performing on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and related equipment at customer locations or designated service areas. While the primary focus is diesel repair, this role also supports trailer maintenance and repair as part of overall service delivery. This position requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and customer service while representing the Company in the field.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment in a mobile environment


• Support trailer repair and maintenance, including structural and component repairs as needed


• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections, including DOT inspections as applicable


• Diagnose and repair systems including:




• Diesel engine systems (fuel, air, cooling, exhaust)


• Brake and wheel systems (truck and trailer)


• Electrical and lighting systems


• Suspension and steering components


• Trailer components (doors, panels, floors, undercarriage, axles)


• Liftgates and hydraulic systems (if applicable)


• HVAC systems (EPA 609 certification required for A/C work)




• Perform basic welding and fabrication for trailer repairs (as needed)


• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours on a hard card.


• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and recommendations
