Job summary

The Halter Group is seeking a full-time Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service a growing fleet across Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Travel is required and a CDL A or B is preferred; company-supported CDL training may be provided.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems for trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diesel automotive repair experience and the ability to diagnose and repair large equipment.
• Experience reading technical manuals and writing reports; strong communication.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel across KY/TN/GA.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, repair, and track diesel engines, transmissions, brake and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment.
• Maintain safety compliance and proper service records; use fleet software.
• Consult with field employees to determine work required and priorities.
