Job summary

Jgpete is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles at customer locations across the service region. The role requires a strong background in diesel truck maintenance and a willingness to travel, including overnight stays, with a swing shift and on-call expectations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience and excels in customer service, safety, and maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience in automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays when needed.
• Flexible schedule, including early mornings/evenings/night shifts and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships at customer locations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare for daily service appointments with strong time management and independence.
• Coordinate repairs, parts availability, scheduling, and customer updates with service teams.
• Keep accurate records of labor hours, travel time, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Manage repair orders from diagnosis to completion with proper billing information.
• Assist with on-site service transactions and processing payments for roadside service calls.
• Maintain mobile service vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory in good condition.
