Job summary

Xylem is seeking a mobile diesel technician to join our service team in Salt Lake City. You will travel to customer sites in a company vehicle to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered pump equipment and related systems.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. You will complete service reports, communicate with customers, and support safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel technician, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or automotive technician experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered pump equipment and related mechanical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and timely.
