Job summary
National Fleet Management is seeking experienced Mobile Field Technicians to provide on-site maintenance and repairs for commercial fleet customers in the Louisville area. You’ll work from a fully equipped company service truck, traveling to customer locations and handling diagnostics, repairs, and documentation from start to finish.
Technicians operate within a roughly 50–60 mile radius of home, enjoying independence and varied daily assignments.
Qualifications
- Experienced diesel technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Heavy-duty truck repair experience required.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required.
- Experience with mobile service work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on heavy-duty trucks.
- Complete preventive maintenance services and inspections.
- Repair brake, suspension, steering, electrical, air, hydraulic, fuel, and engine systems.
- Troubleshoot issues and determine repair solutions.
- Document repairs and completed work accurately.
- Maintain an organized service truck and parts inventory.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through completion.
